I'm afraid that many other prospective first time buyers are in the same position as you. Firstly work out how much money you really need for both the deposit, the legal fees and any furniture, decoration etc you will need to spend on the house. You then have 2 basic alternatives - beg your parents ...

Some policies do want you to have been employed for 3 months before you take out a policy but others do not stipulate a minimum. Your recent diagnosis will not be a problem. When you completed your application form for critical illness insurance nobody was aware of your medical problem - so that was all in order.
