I took out a critical illness policy 8 months ago. last week my doctor diagnosed a condition that he said id had for some years but had not been noticed. Do i have to tell my insurer and will it cause a problem with my insurance?

Your recent diagnosis will not be a problem. When you completed your application form for critical illness insurance nobody was aware of your medical problem - so that was all in order.
