What if I am a woman driver?
Statistically women are less likely to be involved in an accident than men, in addition they are also much less likely to be involved in a severe accidents than their male counterparts, and as such represent a reduced risk to the insurer.
Many insurance companies have now recognised this difference in risk levels and have reduced the cost of woman’s car insurance to below that of a similar aged males car insurance.
In addition several companies now provide just woman’s car insurance, examples are Diva and Diamond insurance. These companies offer female only policies that are traditionally very competitive against larger household names such as Tesco’s or Admiral.
