If i am injured in an accident, will health insurance pay for me to be treated privately?

Health insurance is not designed to cover Accident & Emergeny situations. That is always the responsibility of the NHS.

Health insurance is structured to cover planned treatment of conditions that can be cured by medical action. It does not cover conditions that cannot be cured nor elective surgery like plastic surgery that is undertaken purely for vanity! Nor does it cover A&E situations.
