can i get my student loan written off?

I have a student loan of some 15k. Could i go for a quickie bankruptcy and get it written off?

Student loans are one of the few liabliities that remain in place even if you go bankrupt. So if you go bankrupt, they will not be written off and you will still have to repay them.
