Access 2 Justice
”We pride ourselves in ensuring maximum compensation in the shortest possible time.
And it’s No Win, No Fee”
If my accident happened at
work and I make a claim against
my employer, can my employer
sack me?
If you make an accident claim against your employer, your employer cannot dismiss you for making that claim. That's the law. So if you are given your cards or P45 after having an accident at work, this could amount to unfair dismissal, entitling you to make a claim for unfair dismissal. A specialist employment solicitor will advise you about this.
And remember, your employer is legally required to have insurance cover for accidents to employees and indeed visitors. Therefore, it's their insurance company that would pay your compensation, not your employer.
