made a claim but havent any rceipts

whilst on holiday last month i lost a bag with all my beach things it it. when i added everything up it came to £160 including my bikini. the insurer won't pay out unless i have receipts- whih i don't. what can i do?

I suggest that you go back to the shop where you bought your bikini, describe it to them and see if they will identify it and give you a back dated receipt. Your only other course it to tell your insurer that it was a gift from your fella! The insurer should not be too worried about receipts being unavailable for the lesser items in you bag. If your insurer continues to be difficult, make a formal written complaint and take it from there. Do not be fobbed off!
