Last year my denist fitted veneers onto 8 teeth for cosmetic reasons. The veneers keep falling off and it seems that he wants me to claim for the repairs on my dental insurance. Is he right?

I do not think that your dentist should keep charging you for repairs to the veneers he effectively sold to you. The veneers had to be "fit for purpose" and if they keep falling off, then clearly they are not fit for purpose.

In those circumstances, your dentist has to abide by the Sales of Goods Act under which the seller has to either repair or replace the faulty goods - and if your dentist can do neither, he is required to refund you what he charged. Their are a number of proviso's to the Act so enter "Sales of Goods Act" into Google and do some background reading - it will stand you in good stead.
