My dentist wants me to buy his insurance plan

my dentist has been pushing me to buy the dental plan that he offers through his surgery. However, it looks expensive to me. I am afraid he will kich me off his list if i do not agree. what should i do?

Yes, i've seen leaflets for dental insurance in my dentists waiting room - but i've never been pressurised like you have.
If i were you i'd get the best insurance i could find online (where you'll get the best deal) and then simply tell the dentist that you have dental insurance - i bet he'll be absolutely delighted to treat you as a private patient!
If he isn't happy, you will find pleanty of other dentists who will be happy to take you on as a private patient.
There are quite a few types of dental insurance so do shop around.
